Liposuction Risks and Complications

Many people believe liposuction is the ultimate answer to stubborn belly fat, jiggly thighs, and sagging skin. However, as with any surgical procedure, liposuction risks and complications must be weighed against the potential benefits.

  • Internal Punctures
  • Death

Skin irregularities such as lumpiness may manifest after plastic surgery, particularly if your skin has lost elasticity. In some cases the skin may be permanently discolored. Some patients complain of numbness in the treated area. This is usually a temporary side effect. Infection, permanent scarring, and organ puncture are rare, but can occur in a very small number of cases.
